ÖGfE survey: 25 years of Austrian EU membership - consolidation of the EU is priority for Austrians - Österreichische Gesellschaft für Europapolitik

25 years after joining the EU, a clear majority of Austrians are in favor of our country remaining a member of the Union. Nevertheless, respondents are quite critical about the current state and functioning of the EU, a current survey by the Austrian Society for European Policy finds.

Background:

The survey was conducted by Sozialwissenschaftliche Studiengesellschaft (SWS) from 25 November to 6 December 2019 on behalf of ÖGfE (Tel SWS 288). 519 persons were interviewed by telephone (representative of the Austrian population aged 16 and older / weighted according to gender, age and education). Maximum fluctuation range approx. +/- 4.3 percent.
